Hospice care is about providing a caring environment for meeting the physical and emotional needs of the person who is facing a life threatening illness. It is also about having quality time with friends and loved ones to say the things that have not been said, to share stories, to mend relationships, to plan, to come together, to do the things you have always wanted to do, to enjoy one another. That is hospice care. For most people there is no better place than home to do these things and Woodland Hospice and Morey Bereavement Center continue to provide quality hospice care to people in their own homes as we have for twenty-five years. We do this by providing physical care for the patient, emotional and spiritual support to the patient and their loved ones and help in understanding the dying process. For a variety of reasons some people decide they want Hospice care but not in their home and thanks to the generosity of our community we have Hospice House available.
Hospice House is a state of the art residential facility. It was designed with the comfort of both the resident and their family in mind. Each of the eight suites is 400 square feet with a private bath and a kitchenette. There is plenty of room for guests in each suite but there is also a great room, a family kitchen, a children’s room and a meditation room for the comfort of families.
Hospice care is about dignity and respect, quality of life and living life to its fullest. Woodland Hospice has been providing that support to our friends and neighbors for over twenty-five years. Whether it is your home or ours Woodland Hospice can help.
