Beth Miller –President
Beth Miller worked for The Dow Chemical Company for 30 years, retiring as a Global Operations and NA Customer Service Manager. Beth has been involved with Habitat For Humanity, delivers “Meals on Wheels”, and is on the Lake Isabella Village Council. She started with Woodland Hospice as a volunteer in 2005 and in 2008 she joined the Board of Directors. She Continues to do Vvolunteering in home as well as at the Hospice House. Beth serves as Chair of the Executive Council.
Kathy Preston — Secretary
Kathy Preston is a retired Special Education Teacher from Farwell Area Schools. More than 20 years ago she founded The Compassionate Friends-Mid Michigan Chapter. In 2009 Kathy was the proud recipient of a Chamber Eagle Award. She is also Past President of the Mt. Pleasant Women’s City Club and is active with Sacred Heart Parish. During construction of the Hospice House she served as Chair of the Hospice House Interior Design Committee. Kathy serves as Chair of the Nominations Committee.
Peggy Wheeler is the Controller at Isabella Bank, based in Mt. Pleasant. She is a past member of the board of the Isabella Red Cross. Peggy serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee
William Moore
William Moore Serves as the Director of the Norval K. Morey Cancer Center at Central Michigan Community Hospital. William moved to Mt. Pleasant in 2005. William is a graduate of Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis and trained in Radiation Therapy at Methodist Hospital of Indiana. In addition to working with Woodland Hospice, William is very active with the Mt. Pleasant Soccer Club.
Carol Burdette
Carol Burdette is a retired Virginia and New York State University and Public Schools Administrator, having served in a variety of positions, including Budget Director, Internal Control Coordinator, and Personnel Supervisor. In December 2007, she and her husband David moved to Mt. Pleasant where he accepted the position for Finance and Administrative Services at CMU. Carol is on the Women’s Initiative Committee of the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation and serves on the Woodland Hospice Finance Committee as well as chair of the Personnel Committee
